Beschreibung

Die Wärmeabfuhr aus Kernreaktoren ist ein wesentlicher Schritt in der Energieerzeugung. Die Wirksamkeit dieses Prozesses hängt von vielen Faktoren ab, einschließlich der verwendeten Kühlmittel. Das Hauptziel des von der EU geförderten Projekts sCO2-4-NPP ist die Einführung und Kommerzialisierung innovativer Technologie zur Wärmeabfuhr in Kernkraftwerken. Die in der sCO2-4-NPP-Initiative eingesetzte Technologie wird ein Reservekühlsystem bereitstellen, das an das Hauptkühlsystem auf Dampfbasis angeschlossen ist, wodurch die Notwendigkeit menschlichen Eingreifens bei Unfällen erheblich verzögert oder ganz vermieden wird. Dank seiner kompakten Größe und der Modularität des Systems kann die innovative Technologie in bestehende Kernkraftwerke eingebaut werden. Sie kann auch in in der Entwicklung befindliche Kernkraftwerke eingebaut werden.
